During my PhD at the Neuro-electronics research flanders (NERF) institute, Belgium, I worked on mapping the neural pathways that drive a variety of innate behaviors combining functional ultrasound imaging and optogenetics. My main interest is to explore how subcortical circuits influence higher cognitive functions such as attention and desicion making.
